She mangs! She mangs!

I was overdue for a haircut. WAY overdue. The situation was so dire, my hair had morphed into something very, very unfortunate.

I hope this has never happened to you. But if so, know that you are not alone - and there is a cure!

Oh! And for some reason, the video is too small to show in this window, so you have to click on it. Sorry! I don't know why, but possibly one of you wise vloggers will clue me in!

See? You, too, can be a hot mom. Just say NO to the mang!

Wahahaha! She mangs! Awesome title!
Nice hair cut. It's very sassay!
When I go to get my hair cut, I say, "Please, please don't let me look like a mom. You know what I mean?"

We're on the same page. Buh Buy Mangs!

I know EXACTLY what you mean! We're moms, but we don't want to LOOK like a "mom."

LOVE the title and your vlog! I keep humming Ricky Martin's "She Bangs" though after reading it, which I am hoping is a short lived phenomenon!

I am in dire need of a hair cut and am finally going to get it cut this afternoon, I can't wait. How do I know my hair is looking really, really bad? Because my husband, who rarely comments on my appearance, despite the rapid decline in standards since I became a Mother, said the other day that my hair was looking "really wild" and he did not mean it in a good way :-)

I'm 45 and can't count the number of times I've attempted to grow my bangs out when they hit the 'mang' stage. Then I remember I have an eight-head (2x bigger than a forehead)and back come the bangs...sigh. I'm stopping by from SITS - have a great weekend!

I think you all need to post your pics on your blog and write a post about it bringing your "hot mom-ness" back!

I just got rid of my mangs this week. Thank you for giving them a term. Shameful stuff, mangs.

I literally burst out laughing before I even played your video b/c I knew exactly what you meant.

Love the new 'do! Funny, I chopped off all my hair this week, too. Clearly we need to hang out and drink vodka. I mean, coffee.

I am also in dire need of a haircut as I am currently wearing sunglasses in this windowless room. Wearing them on top of my head, to keep the mangs and bangs back.

Sigh.

Karen - Thanks!!

Empress - Yes. I was a woman once. I was!

Alex - Ooh! I wanna see your new 'do! Does it say HOT MOM?

AM - Yeah, it's not good when the Hubs actually notices the hair..

Mombshell - It must be the season for haircuts! And thanks re: the vlog. I'm going to try to do one once a week. Maybe. We'll see.

Leiah - Ha! I always say I have a fivehead! TOTALLY need bangs! Thanks for stopping by!

Ashley - Hope it helped!

TKW - And now you have something to call those wretched wayward lumps 'o hair..

Lisa - Do you feel like a new woman w/out your mangs?

Kris - I, too, know the sunglasses-on-the-head trick all too well!

Well, if only I'd seen this BEFORE I went to the salon the other night. I went on precisely the same mission to ride my fore-dome of the dreaded MANG (thank you for coining that BTW).
First mistake: cheated on my regular stylist. New, grumpy stylist stated "I don't like shorter bangs" and pretty much REFUSED to chop them.

Second mistake: I tipped her.

Now I have two complexes. Still have a mang complex - and can now officially add to it with my inability to stand up to stylists. WHY?

Your hair is super cute.

LOL! Mangs! Love it:) Yes, I'm currently guilty of sporting the mang look, and have a serious love/hate relationship with bangs. I can never decide - do I keep them short, do I grow them out? It's so confusing. I think if I had nice straight hair like yours, I'd keep them short, but my hair's so thick & wavy, it's a total pain in the butt to style 'em.
Love your new do btw!

Momsicle - NO!! I used to be that way, but not anymore. I told my stylist that she gave me a bowl cut last time and I hated it. Remember - we're paying THEM!

Pamela - guess what? My hair is really curly. I have to to beat the crap out of it with a flat iron to get it to be straight. Which is why I'm wearing it short right now - takes me less time to straighten!
