(Almost) Wordless Wednesday

We went to Palm Springs for a short getaway

Sawyer's job was to keep an eye on the temperature

He was pretty busy

From all the way in the very back seat

He yelled for me to take this last one..

Seeing that? Almost as fun for a 6 1/2 year-old as swimming in the pools. And getting to watch Spongebob on TV in the hotel room.

That is HOT. I think I would take it these days though. Here in Calgary it's been cold & rainy. Ugh. Bring on summer!!!!

Yes! You definitely need summer. But maybe not summer on steroids!

Holy crap that's hot!! Hotels are so fun for kids, aren't they? Glad Sawyer enjoyed his job as temp gaurdian.

Alex - It actually didn't feel all that hot. Hubs kept yammering about "dry heat." It's STILL HOT!

Karen - The pool was nice and cool! ;)

Empress - It was actually not so hot for the desert.

Mombshell - I also loved it!

Jill - The kids would've been happy to just stay in the room the whole time!

That is a normal temp for us in the summertime. And you know what in July, it gets to 116 degrees. The price of living in the desert.

Oh, man, I'd have been melting. Even in dry heat! I remember when we went to Las Vegas & everyone kept saying, it's not that bad - it's dry heat, yada, yada, yada. Screw that - like you said hot is hot!!

We've had a week already of over 100F and will be close to 100 every day this week too. Thank goodness for pools is all I can say!

I'm glad to hear you got a break and had a good time despite the heat.

It was 65-75 here all weekend. And rainy. I am dying for some weather nice enough to get my little guy in the pool.
